Limping = Functional Asymetry

A limp can be very obvious like the lady on the right or it can be very subtle. For instance, different stride lengths or different shoulder heights or different arm swing. There are so many possibilities that they all can't be listed. Suffice it to say that most of us walk with some form of asymetry. That's "your walk" and your friends and family can pick-you-out-of-a-crowd.

  The more subtle your limp, the more it would have to be repeated before it caused symptoms. That's what walking is all about...repetition.

Normal human cadence is 90-120 steps/minute. That's 5400-7200 steps each walking hour. If you're someone who walks a total of 2 hours each day, your taking 10,800-14,400 steps each day.
