For Patients After GAITLAB®
|
Congratulations. You've been through GAITLAB®, you're wearing
your test orthotics and you're already feeling better. Keep
the following information in mind:
|

What to expect
after GAITLAB®:
|

|
Most patients report significant improvement
in symptoms. In fact, most notice an improvement before leaving
the office. So, you'll walk more than usual and use some muscles
more than usual. If this causes some minor muscle soreness, don't
worry....this should be temporary. |

|
If your test orthotics need any adjustments
while your waiting for your permanent orthotics, just call us at
(719)635-7700 for an appointment. There are no additional charges
for this. |

|
Please do not buy any new shoes until
you receive your permanent orthotics. They may change your fit in
certain styles and it's always better to try-on new shoes with your
permament orthotics. |

|
Your permanent orthotics have been ordered according to data
derived from the repeated testing with the FScan® in-shoe
computerized pressure sensors. They will arrive in approximately
3 weeks and we will call you to set up an appointment for fitting.
Please bring appropriate shoes for this appointment.

Your permanent orthotics will be more comfortable and more effective
than your test orthotics.
Remember-GAITLAB® orthotics
include 6 months of follow-up at no additional charge.

Breaking-in your permanent orthotics should
be fairly quick because you've been wearing your test orthotics.
|
|

|
It is not uncommon for some orthotics
to require minor adjustments. Don't worry. All adjustments are included
for 6 months. |

|
Many patients order additional pairs
or styles of orthotics. Don't
worry, additional testing isn't necessary. We've established your
prescription and you can order as many additional pairs or styles
as you wish.
The cost is surprisingly low (<50%
of the GAITLAB® fee).

Remember, your GAITLAB® includes
6 months of follow-up for adjustments. Usually few are required
but you can be assured that you've made a sound investment in
your health because Dr. Sol and The Walking Clinic staff will
be with you every step of the way.
